"Tequila" - about self - titled album of Dan + Shay (My Review) [English Version]

Today I want  to write about Dan + Shay duo and their latest the 3rd album under the same title. It was released on 22 June 2018. I will be honest I'm skeptical when it comes to new musicians in the Country genre. However, I decided to check out this duo. Dan + Shay debuted in 2014 with the album "Where It All Began" They both compose songs for their albums. The duo is constists of Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, who created songs for other Country artists.



Their latest album Dan + Shay contains 11 tracks:

1. Alone Together - this is a very energetic song, especially at beginning. I like the sound of drums. I think it's nice composition for parties. The song can be classified as love song.

2. Tequila - this is 1st single promoting this album. Personally, I really like this song. I like the quiet musical arrangement used here. The voices of artists sound great. It's also worth paying attention to the great music clip for this song.



3. What Keeps You Up At Night - in my opinion this is one of the better songs from this album. Great musical arrangement and voices of artists perfectly match with each other.

4. All To Myself - I like the guitar sounds used here. I believe that this is the best song from this CD. I hope it will be chosen for the next single.

5. Keeping Score - this is a song with another well - known artist Kelly Clarkson. I like the musical arrangement of this track. Kelly's voice sound great.

6. Make Or Break - it's a very energetic composition. This isn't a bad song but I didn't like it.

7. Speechless - a very beautiful song about love. The perfect wedding song. The artists wrote it for their wives. Great musical arrangement.

8. Stupid Love - the only thing I like here is musical arrangement. Somehow this song didn't convice me. They should definitely choose another track for the album.

9. No Such Thing - you can hear an interesting musical arrangement here. The words are very catchy.

10. My Side Of Fence - one of the bettersongs from this album.I really like the quiet tone of this track. I think it's another composition that should become the single of this album.

11. Island Time - another great song. I like the musical arrangement and the tempo change in the song.

As I wrote at beginning I'm skeptical of artists I don't know (this is their first record I've listened to), but Dan + Shay surprised me in a positive way. You can see They are very talented and compose great songs. I sincerely regret that I didn't get acquainted with their work before. Most of the songs on this album are amazing and I recommend you to listen it.
