"Here And Now" - Kenny Chesney's new album is full of thoughts about life (Review) [English Version]

Hey 😉

In this post I will write about Kenny Chesney's new 19th studio album "Here And Now", which was released on May 1st 2020.

The album consists of 12 tracks:

1. We Do - cool song intro. I like the energetic musical arrangement. It's a kind of song that makes the listener feel better and forgets about his problems. Kenny Chesney is the co-author of the composition.

2. Here And Now - this is the 2 single promoting this album. I like this song because it has an important message that important things in life are happening here and now.

3. Everyone She Knows - I like the intro of the song and the musical instruments used here. You can hear an interesting story about a woman who lives differently from everyone she knows and expects her to fit in with her surroundings.

4 Wasted - you can hear a nice musical arrangement here, especially electric guitars. The lyrics are catchy, but I'm not quite sure about this song.

5. Knowing You - I like the calm arrangement and pace of the song. Nice change from previous compositions. Without a doubt it is a song about a failed relationship.

6. Heartbreakers - another energetic song, which is nice to listen to.

7. Someone To Fix - in my opinion it is the best composition you can hear on this album. The song is different from the previous songs in tempo (during the verses is calm, and during the chorus it accelerates a little), which makes it not boring. I associate the intro of the composition with the song "Damn Drunk" sung by Ronnie Dunn, while when Kenny sings the chorus it reminds me of the song "Shotgun Rider" performed by Tim McGraw.

8. Happy Does - I really like this song, which reminds me that life is better when people are happy, when they appreciate simple things.

9. Tip Of My Tongue - this is 1 single promoting the album. It's worth writing that the co-author of the composition is a well-known singer Ed Sheeran. Nice intro and arrangement of the song. Although I think that the song is more Pop than Country.

10. You Don't Get To - another great composition. Interesting beginning of the song. Kenny Chesney shows here that he can convey emotions also in calm songs. I can't stop listening to this song, which I think is touching.

11. Beautiful World - I really like the music arrangement and also the lyrics of the song. Just look around and see that the world is beautiful.

12. Guys Named Captain - a great song that I love to listen to. Beautiful musical arrangement. Another emotional composition dedicated to ship captains, who spend most of their lives at sea.

Kenny Chesney made his fans wait quite a long time for his new album, but it was worth. "Here And Now" is one of the few albums (so far) released in 2020 that I am delighted with. Although at first I thought I wouldn't hear anything else but energetic compositions. Because even though I love the sound of electric guitars, I had an impression that there are too many of them. Fortunately, at the end the artist surprised me with calmer and more emotional tracks. Another advantage of this album is that the songs are about different important aspects of life that can affect each of us. So depending on what stage of life the listener is at, he/she can say: "I feel this way" or something like that. This is a testimony to the talent of an artist who chooses compositions and knows how to convey emotions properly. I was personally moved by the songs: "Everyone She Knows", "Someone To Fix" or "You Don't Get To".

I rate this album as 5/5.
