"Life Rolls On" - the new album by Florida Georgia Line before the solo careers of the main singers (Album Review) [English Version]
Hey 😉
In January 2021, the lead vocalists of the Florida Georgia Line band informed their fans that they planned to focus on their separate careers / projects. It doesn't mean the final end of this duo 😀. Fortunately, before their "breaking - up" they decided to release the new 5th studio album "Life Rolls On", which was released on January 12, 2021.
The album consists of 16 songs:
1. Long Live - is the 2nd single promoting the album. I like the intro and the musical arrangement of the song.
2. Life Looks Good - An interesting start to the song. A fun, energetic song with catchy words.
3. Countryside * - Another great song where the narrator introduces his idea for a date.
4. Always Gonna Love You - this composition can undoubtedly be included in love songs. Personally, I really like this song.
5. I Love My Country * - 1 single promoting this album. I like the energetic musical arrangement of this song and the lyrics are catchy. The narrator lists the reasons why he loves his country.
6. Hard To Get To Heaven - I personally like this composition, which can be considered a song about love.
7. Long Time Comin '- another love song in which the narrator offers his beloved to spend time together. I like the calm arrangement of the piece.
8. Interlude - a break in the album.
9. Ain't Worried Bout It (Album Version) * - energetic song where the narrator ensures that as long as his girlfriend is with him, he doesn't worry about anything. The way the song was performed was a little annoying at first, but after listening to it a few times, I liked it.
10. Beer: 30 * - energetic song that can be used at any party. However, I personally don't like it.
11. New Truck - I honestly don't know why this song was recorded. Apart from catchy words, nothing adds to this album.
12. Eyes Closed - I like the calm arrangement of the piece. Another love song.
13. Second Guessing * (from Songland) - the composition was created in the American program for beginning composers. The narrator "tells" about how his life changed after meeting his beloved.
14. Good To Me - cool song with energetic musical arrangement. The narrator is grateful to God for the life he has.
15. U.S. Stronger * - in my opinion this is the best song you can hear on this album. I can even venture to say that it is a patriotic song. Despite various events, the USA is still a strong country.
16. Life Rolls On - I like the musical arrangement as well as the lyrics of the song. Life goes on even if things don't turn out as planned.
* songs were previously released for their EP "6-Pack" in 2020.
Before I go to this album, I want to say that I can't wait to see what the main singers of the band will present to us in their solo projects. Tyler Hubbard has already shown his composing skills with the song "Undivided", which he performs with Tim McGraw (I recommend listening to it 😍).
Florida Georgia Line duo are known for their somewhat unusual sound for the Country music genre. You can hear it on this album as well, and it's a bit annoying to hear "Yeah Baby" or "Yup" in a few songs (unless it just bothers me). The title itself indicates that the songs will refer to life. Listening to this album, in fact, in every composition you can find a reference to some stage of a person's life (mainly about love). I am not convinced of all the songs, but most of the songs placed here delighted me especially: "U.S. Stronger", "Hard To Get To Heaven" or "Eyes Closed".
I rate this album 4.3 / 5.
