"Love And War" - album by Brad Paisley (My Review) [English Version]
Brad Paisley is recognized as one of the best guitarists and country musicans. It's worth noting that most of the songs on his albums are composed or co-composed by him.
"Love And War" is the eleventh studio album of this artist released on April 21 2017. The album consists of 15 songs:
1. Heaven South - I like the sound of electric guitars, which you can hear here. A nice energetic song praising life in the South of USA.
2. Last Time For Everything - I love the intro of this song. Another energetic composition on this album. It talks about passing life. Here you can hear Brad's ability as a great guitarist.
3. One Beer Can - I think that this song was made more for fun than for some deeper message. Again, you can hear a nice musical arrangement (especially of the sound of guitars). The perfect song for the party.
4. Go To Bed Early - I personally think that this is one of the better songs on this album. A great track about love.
5. Drive Of Shame - it's a duet with Mick Jagger. It's a more rock song than country music. Personally, I didn't like it.
6. Contact High - this is another song that I didn't like it. As far as energetic compositions are concerned, I believe that the musical arrangement should be different.
7. Love And War - it's a duo with great artist John Fogerty. I think that this is a great song about how hard it's to serve in army and how much they have to sacrifice to serve to their country. The voices of artists complement each other perfectly.
8. Today - this is the first single promoting the CD. Personally, I believe it's the best song you can hear on this album. I really like the intro of the track. A beautiful composition about love.
9. Selfie#theinternetisforever - a little bit ironic but how true song that everything stays on the internet and we don't think about it.
10. Grey Goose Chase - this is a duet with rapper Timbaland. I don't like this song. I believe that the artist should choose a better song for this album.
11. Gold All Over The Ground - this composition was based on a poem written by the legendary Johnny Cash. A beautiful song with a calm musical arrangement.
12. Dying To See Her - touching duet with another great musician Bill Anderson. It's a composition about real love. Great musical arrangement and voices of artists make it possible to listen to this song over and over again.
13. Solar Power Girl - this is another duo with rapper Timbaland. This song is a little bit better than previous one, but I don't like it too.
14. The Devil Is Alive And Well - I like the quiet intro of this song. I believe it's one of the best songs of this album. Brad's voice sound great in this composition.
15. Meaning Again - a great song about love and missing for a loved one. However I think that would be better if the musical arrangement was the same as at the beginning of the song.
Brad Paisley also recorded a duet with Demi Lovato "Without Fight", but eventually the song wasn't put on the album. I think it's a pity. I like this song very much and I can listen this track all the time. Demi and Brad's voices are great together.
On the album "Love And War" you can hear some great songs that show how talented Brad Paisley is both as a guitarist and as a singer. I really like the fact that he invited many other musicians, thanks to which the compositions aren't monotonous. However honestly some songs don't match to him and I expected something more from this artist.
I rate this album on 3,5/5
