"Can't Say I Ain't Country" - the new album by Florida Georgia Line (My Review) [English Version]

Hey 😉

I'm starting my last semester at the university next week and I'm a little afraid that I will be able to write my master's thesis on time. It's hard for me to believe that it's been 5 years since I started my studies. When I started them, I didn't think that it would pass so quickly.
Using the last days free from the university, I decided to write about the new album by Florida Georgia Line "Can't Say I Ain't Country", which was released today (15/02/2019).

This is the 4th album of this duo, which consists of 19 tracks (15 songs + 4 skits). I will focus only on the songs:

1. Can't Say I Ain't Country - you can certainly say that it resembles Country songs from the 90s. You can hear instruments typical of this genre.

2. Simple - this is 1 single promoting this album. I like the musical arrangement used here, which is very interesting. This song also reminds me of Country from old times.

3. Talk You Out Of It - this is the 2 single that promotes this album. It can be classified as romantic songs. I like the changing tempo of the composition, which during the verses is calm, and accelerates during the chorus. Thanks to that the track isn't monotonous.

4. Speed Of Love - it is a much more energetic song than the previous ones. I like the sound of the instruments used here (especially the guitars) and the fact that the song isn't only sung all the time, but also told what gives a nice effect.

 5. Women - artists perform this song with Jason Derulo, a world famous singer. Their voices complement each other perfectly. Personally, I think it's a great composition.

 6. People Are Different - another great composition that touches on the subject of diversity of people and that you should accept it. Personally, I like this song.

7. Told You - the song can certainly be included in romantic songs. I really like the musical arrangement and the steady pace.

8. Y'all Boys - an energetic composition that has catchy words. An interesting musical arrangement was used here.

9. Small Town - in this song you can hear mix country and rap music with a nice musical arrangement.

 10. Sittin 'Pretty - a nice song that I would put into love songs. I like the intro of this composition.

11. Can't Hide Red - the duet performs this song with another famous Country musician  Jason Aldean. An interesting musical arrangement was used here. The voices of the artists fit together perfectly. It is a song that is remembered for longer because of catchy words.

12. Colorado - another great song with an interesting musical arrangement.

13. Like You Never Had It - the artists have used a very interesting musical arrangement here. The song has very catchy words, but I wouldn't  classify it to the Country genre. Personally, I could listen to her all the time.

 14. Swerve - this composition shows that the duo isn't  afraid of mixing musical styles. You can hear interesting guitar sounds in this song.

15. Blessings - this is the quietest song from all songs on this album. I like the musical arrangement used here. Without worries, you can include this song for romantic compositions.

I honestly say that I wasn't a fan of the Florida Georgia Line, somehow I had no conviction for this duo. So when the artists revealed the title of the discussed album, I was wondering if there really will be songs from the genre of the Country, or just the name of the album and nothing more. Listening to this record I wasn't disappointed because in fact most of the compositions are actually typical for this kind of music. Although there are also other music styles on this CD, I like all the songs very much (which is unusual because I always complain about something 😆). I think that compared to previous albums, this one is the best and I can't stop listening to it. The artists aptly named their album because they showed that Country music is close to them.

I rate this album at 5/5

I encourage you to listen to the album😊

JP.
