Happy Birthday To "Man In Black" - Johnny Cash!! [English Version]
Hey 😉
3. She Used To Love Me A Lot - z albumu Out Among The Stars (2014)
Today 87th birthday would be celebrated by a very well-known and respected musician, composer and actor Johnny Cash (also known as "Man In Black" because Cash mostly wore black clothes), which unfortunately died on September 12, 2003 not long after his wife June Carter also a great Country artist. Johnny Cash is mainly known as a musician associated with this type of music. However, the singer performed songs in various genres: rock and roll, rockabilly, blues, folk or gospel. His compositions and voice were very characteristic that nobody should confuse him with any other musician. Johnny Cash has sold over 90 million records worldwide. His life wasn't easy, he was struggling with addiction to alcohol and drugs, which he defeated thanks to his beloved wife, June. In 1985, he released the CD with Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson as a Highwayman band. A film entitled "Walk The Line" is about artist life, referring to the well-known song by this singer (I personally recommend this movie - it's worth noting that the main actors Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon were chosen by John Cash and June Carter). His most famous songs include "Ring Of Fire", "Get Rhythm", "Man In Black", "A Boy Named Sue", "Hurt", "Folsom Prison Blues" and "Jackson" (a duet with June).
Below I will present several songs of the composer:
1. Hurt - z albumu American IV: The Man Comes Around (2002)
2. Jackson z albumu Carryin' On With Johnny Cash & June Carter (1967)
3. She Used To Love Me A Lot - z albumu Out Among The Stars (2014)
4. Ring Of Fire - z albumu Ring Of Fire: The Best Of Johnny Cash (1963)
5. Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down - z albumu The Johnny Cash Show (1970)
Johnny Cash was a very talented musician, which can be seen in his musical work (he has released over 100 albums). There are currently many talented artists, but none of them can replace the Man In Black.
