Self - titled album of Carly Pearce (My Review) [English Version]
Hey 😉
Carly Pearce is the new Country singer who began her musical career in 2017 with the debut album "Every Little Thing".
Today I will write about the artist's 2nd (new) album "Carly Pearce", which was released on February 14, 2020. The album consists of 13 tracks:
1. Closer To You - this is one single promoting this album. The words are very catchy and I like the musical arrangement. Definitely you can include this song in love compositions.
2. Call Me - the song is not bad, but I think the musical arrangement is a bit annoying and does not match the lyrics (that's my opinion).
3. I Hope You're Happy Now - this composition is the second single promoting the album. This is a duet with Lee Brice - a famous Country musician. I like the song's intro. The voices of the artists complement each other perfectly. You can listen to this song all the time.
4. Dasboard Jesus - nice music arrangement. I think this is one of the better songs on this album. I like the sound of the musical instruments used here. It is a composition that sometimes it is worth fulfilling your dreams.
5. Halfway Home - I like the musical arrangement used here and the tempo of this song. One can write that it is a bit nostalgic composition. Carly's voice is very touching.
6. Heart's Going Out Of Its Mind - a nice change from previous songs. The song is more energetic, which I really like. Words are catchy.
7. Finish Your Sentences - it is a duet with country singer Michael Ray (privately the artist's husband). Another great song on this album. The artists complement each other perfectly in terms of vocals. You can listen to this composition over and over again.
8. It Won't Always Be Like This - in my opinion, this is the best song you can hear on the album. You can write without fear that this song is very moving. The performance of the singer is very emotional.
9. Lightning In A Bottle - interesting intro, a bit like from the 90s. I like the musical arrangement of this song, although I have the impression that the performance could be a little better.
10. Love Has No Heart - I like this song, especially the change in singing the verse from slow to faster. You can include this song about unsuccessful love.
11. Woman Down - cool song intro and the use of instruments in musical arrangement. The tempo of the song changes, which means that the composition is not boring. Words are catchy.
12. You Kissed Me First - another song about love, actually about its beginnings. It's nice to listen to this composition.
13. Greener Grass - I like the song's intro and musical arrangement. This is a nostalgic song about old love. Carly's voice is moving. You can hear the cool sound of musical instruments here.
I listened to this singer's album for the first time. I am surprised by the musical abilities of Carly Pearce. On the album mentioned in this post you can hear her amazing voice of both melancholic and more energetic songs. Although I did not like all the compositions, I think that it is worth getting acquainted with the work of this artist.
I rate this album 4.5 / 5.
