"Hey World" - Lee Brice's great album about love, memories and reflections (Album Review) [English Version]

 Hey 😉

Lee Brice started his music career in 2010 when he released his debut album "Love Like Crazy" (the album went gold). His next CDs were also successful: "Hard 2 Love" (platinum status - 2012)," I Don't Dance "(gold status - 2014) and" Lee Brice "(gold status - 2017). The artist's last album "Hey World" was released on November 20, 2020.

The album consists of 15 tracks:

1. Atta Boy - I like the musical arrangement you can hear here. The words are catchy. You can write that there is a song praising [song] heroes.

2. One Of Them Girls - this is the first single promoting this album. I really like this song in terms of the musical arrangement, but also the lyrics are great. It is worth paying attention to the music clip for this song, which shows that women are strong and independent, which the narrator likes very much.

3. More Beer - I like the intro and the way this song is performed. The perfect song for a party.

4. Memory I Don't Mess With - this is the second single promoting this album. A beautiful, nostalgic song about unfulfilled love, remembered by the narrator. Personally, I can listen to this song all the time. The vocalist's voice perfectly captures emotions.

5. Save The Roses - another touching song from an unusual perspective. The deceased narrator does not want to mourn him and gives advice to those gathered at his funeral.

6. Good Ol 'Boys - I like the intro and the energetic musical arrangement of the song. Especially the sound of electric guitars.

7. Don't Need No Reason - this is undoubtedly a love composition in which the narrator assures his beloved that he does not need a special occasion to reassure her about his feelings or to buy flowers.

8. Do Not Disturb - another love song where the narrator persuades his girlfriend / wife to spend time together. I really like the musical arrangement and the way this piece is performed.

9. Soul - another love song with an interesting musical arrangement. The narrator assures his girlfriend of his feelings.

10. Sons And Daughters - I personally think this is the best song you can hear on this album. A beautiful and touching composition about the fact that we can quickly judge people or attack them without remembering that someone is someone's son or someone's daughter.

11. Country Knows - Another great song where the narrator explains why he loves country. I think that each of us has our favorite music that makes us forget about our problems and worries. I personally love this song because there are reasons why I just love this music genre.

12. Lies - a beautiful and emotional composition about the fact that we often tell negative things to ourselves, for example, I can't do it, I can't handle it, and so on.

13. If You - cool, energetic song about the fact that not everyone has to like the way the narrator behaves / lives.

14. I Hope You're Happy Now - this is a duet with country artist Carly Pearce. The song tells the "story" of former partners who hope the other person is happy after their breakup.

15. Hey World - the singer performs this song with the musician Blessing Offor. A calm song with a great musical arrangement.

It was the first time I listened to this artist's entire album. Earlier I associated his songs: "I Drive Your Truck" from the album "Hard 2 Love" (2012) or "I Don't Dance" from the CD of the same title (2014) without much interest. And it was my mistake, because it turned out to be Lee Brice is a great singer. It is worth adding that the singer also co-wrote most of the songs on his albums. "Hey World" is a great album where you can find references to various emotions that accompany us in everyday life: love, nostalgia or many others. The advantage of this album is that the musical arrangements are diverse, appropriately selected for a given track.

 I rate this album: 4.9 / 5.
