Jason Aldean - Rearview Town (2018) - My Review [English Version]
Hey 😀
Finally, I've got beautiful weather and I can sunbathe 😎. And what are your plans for Sunday?
In today's post I will discuss the new 8th album by country singer Jason Aldean "Rearview Town", which was released on 13 April 2018. I note this is only my opinion, but honestly I say that
I expected something more on this album. The album is not bad, because there are songs on it that
I really like. However, I have the impression that the arrangements for these works are similar.
A lot of electric guitars (I personally like the sound of these guitars), but I think that some songs would be better suited to other music.
The album consists of 15 songs:
1. Dirt To Dust - as I mentioned, you can hear electric guitars, but here they fit to the song.
2. Set It Off - this song reminds me a song from the artist's previous album "They Don’t Know" "Light Come On" so I have the impression that only the words have been changed.
3. Girl Like You - the song is not bad, I like the reverb here. I think it was possible to compose a calmer music for this song.
4. You Make It Easy - this is the first single from this album. I really like this song. I can say that the music fits the song perfectly. It's worth paying attention to the music clips that were made for this song.
5. Gettin 'Warmed Up - I honestly think that the artist could have chosen another song for the album.
6. Blacktop Gone - I had to listen a few times before I liked it. Too many electric guitars.
7. Drown The Whiskey - duet with Miranda Lambert. The voices of the artists fit together perfectly. I hope the song will be chosen for the next single.
8. Rearview Town - another great song on this album. I really like the music composed for this song.
9. Love Me or Don’t - a song that deserves attention because I personally is my next favorite song from this album
10. Like You Were Mine - I do not like music and when the artist "raps". If he sang it all the time I would love this song more. The song does not remind me of country music just pop music.
11. Better At Being Who I Am - I can say that this song is a bit reflective. A great song and
I would love to hear it as a new single.
12. I'll Wait For You - a great song and a very nice message. I would say it's a love song.
13. Ride All Night - I think it's a good song, but it's not my favorite.
14. Up In Smoke - the song has potential, but I think it was possible to arrange the music differently.
15. High Noon Neon - too many electric guitars and I think that there were definitely better songs that the artist could have chosen for the album.
As I wrote at the beginning, I generally think that the musical arrangements are similar. I do not know about you, but I like diversity in music on a given album. I did not find it here, but there are songs that "save" this album. I rate this album at 3.5 / 5
