"The end is not the end at all" - Last Man Standing by Willie Nelson (My Review) [English Version]

Hey 😉

Today I want to write about Willie Nelson's new album "Last Man Standing", which was released on April 27, 2018. It is the artist's 67th studio album throughout his impressive musical career. It is worth mentioning that Willie Nelson celebrates his 85th birthday today 😀 However, the musician does not slow down the tempo and still composes (together with his producer he co-composed all the songs from this album) and performs in the United States. Listening to this album, I came to the conclusion that the compositions on this album are about life and all the experiences that affect us. Sometimes these are good moments, but also bad ones. The only thing you can do is not to break down and move on.
I really like it that the artist remained faithful to the genre of country music.

The album consists of 11 songs

1. Last Man Standing - the first single promoting the album. It is a sad song because the artist refers to friends he lost (including the great musician Merle Haggard) and as he says, "I don't wanna be the last man standing or wait a minute maybe I do” I like the musical instruments used here, especially the harmonica.

2. Don’t Tell Noah - you can see here the connection with faith (religion). The lyrics are catchy and the music fits this song. Honestly, this is not my favorite song from this album.
3. Bad Breath - this is the newest released single. I really like this song. You can see here the distance of the artist who says "better bad breath than no breath at all".

4. Me and You - the second single from this album. I really like the guitar sound. It reminds me of the country from old times.

5. Something You Get Through - the third single from this album. In my opinion, this is the best song from this album. The music arrangement and the voice of the artist perfectly match each other. Losing a loved one is always a painful event in the life of every person. Sometimes we think that this is the end and we can not live on, but it is not true. And that's what the musician is singing about in this song.
6. Ready To Roar - the fourth single from the album. The composition musically differs slightly from the previous songs. It is more energetic and even close to jazz. I think it's one of the better tracks on this album.

7. Heaven Is Closed - another song deserving attention. I love the musical arrangement used here. Another reference to faith.

8. I Ain’t Got Nothin '- honestly the only thing I like here is the music. I think it was possible to choose another song for the album.

9. She Made My Day - I didn’t like the song.

10. I'll Try To Better Next Time - a great song with a great message. Another reference to faith and the Bible that you must love everyone. However, it is not always possible to do it, but you can try harder and do it better.

11. Very Far To Crawl - nice musical composition. The song reminds me of the western. The song is about unhappy love. You can hear interesting guitar sounds here.
At the end, I would like to wish a health artist but also a desire to create new songs, because despite the passage of years his writing and musical skills are still great 😀
