"Tullahoma" - album by Dustin Lynch (My Review) [English Version]

Hey 😉

Dustin Lynch began his musical career in 2012, when he released his debut album "Dustin Lynch". Two years later, he released the album "Where It's At" (2014) and "Current Mood" (2017).

"Tullahoma"is the artist's 4th album, which was released on January 17, 2020. The album consists of 11 songs:

1. Momma's House - nice intro and musical arrangement. I also like the song's outro. This is a song about unsuccessful love. The narrator is very angry and wants to burn a city that reminds him to break up, he is stopped by the fact that his mother's house is located there.

2. Dirt Road - a composition that clearly shows that the artist is proud of where he came from and where he was grow up. So I can think it's a bit nostalgic song.

3. Thinking 'Bout You - this is a duet with the famous country singer Lauren Alaina. I think the voices of the artists go great together.

4. Ridin 'Roads - there is 2nd  single promoting this album. I like the song's intro. This composition can definitely be considered a love song.

5. Old Country Song - the singer used a metaphor here, where he "says he loves a girl like an old [known] Country song". You can hear a few references to well-known Country artists such as: Johnny Cash and June Carter, George Jones and Hank Williams.

6. The World Ain't Yours And Mine - I like the beginning of the song, the cool sound of the instruments. The words are catchy, I also like changing the tempo of the song at the end of the chorus.

7. Country Star - you can hear an interesting composition intro here. The narrator imagines how the relationship with the girl can develop, which means that this song can be included as love songs.

8. Workin 'On You - I like energetic music arrangement, which is different from previous songs. The narrator wants to provide everything to his beloved so he works hard, but all he wants is her smile and happiness. The composition has catchy words.

9. Little Town Livin '- I don't really like the verses spoken by the artist, but the rest of the song is impeccable.

10. Red Dirt, Blue Eyes - I like the musical arrangement used here. This is another love song that is fun to listen to.

11. Good Girl - this is one single promoting the album. I don't really like this song. In my opinion, too many special effects have been used, and too little real music.

The title of the album comes from the artist's hometown of Tullahoma (Tennessee) and you can see that in several songs there is a reference to this place. I honestly write that I listened to Dustin Lynch for the first time. On this album you can hear some interesting songs, but this album did not impress me.

I rate this album 4/5.
