"Nightfall" - brand new album of Little Big Town (My Review) [English Version]
Hey 😉
The band Little Big Town consists of artists such as: Karen Fairchild, Kimberley Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook. The music group began their musical career in 1998, but it wasn't until 2002 that they released their debut self - title album . Over the years, it gained more and more popularity. In this post I will write about their new 9th album "Nightfall", which was released on January 17, 2020. I honestly write that this is my first CD of them I listen to. Of course, Little Big Town has many songs, which I know for example the song "Girl Crush" from the album "Pain Killer" (2014) or "Pontoon" from the album "Tornado" (2012). However, these were single songs, only now I decided to listen to the whole album of the band.
The album "Nightfall" consists of 13 songs:
1. Next To You - a cool intro and musical arrangement. Although I prefer more energetic songs, I think the calm tempo is a great choice. Here you can hear great harmony between the artists.
2. Nightfall - more energetic composition and great voice of Karen Fairchild make you listen to this song with pleasure.
3. Forever And A Night - in my opinion this is the best song from this album. The poignant voice of Phillip Sweet makes the song more touching. I also like the changeable tempo of the composition, from calm to energetic.
4. Throw Your Love Away - cool musical arrangement and the words are catchy. Kimberley Schlampan's voice goes great with this song.
5. Over Drinking - this is one single promoting this album. I think that the musical style you can hear here reminds me of the Country style. Although this is a song with a failed relationship, it is not a typical sad song.

6. Wine, Beer, Whiskey - this composition surprised me the most in terms of musical arrangement. I think it's a great party song. I like the instruments used here.
7. Questions - this is a bit nostalgic song about unrequited love. I like the intro of this song and the whole musical arrangement.
8. The Daughters - this is the 2nd single promoting this album. I think this is another great composition telling what is expected of women, especially daughters. I think this song is very moving.

10. Sugar Coat - I honestly love this song, especially the chorus. Sometimes people pretend to be someone they are not and live a life they do not want, but they can not resist, e.g. husband or family. It is worth paying attention to the music clip for this song.
11. Problem Child - this is a very touching song. In Jimie Westbrook's voice you can hear the emotions that make this song take on such a deeper meaning. You have to listen to the words of the composition and probably the listener will come to the conclusion that he also felt that way or still feel.
12. Bluebird - I like the calm musical arrangement and musical instruments used here. Karen's voice is great.
13. Trouble With Forever - I like the song's intro. Another great song that touches on the subject of marriage - its ideas and how it looks in reality.
I honestly write that I am delighted with this album and the band Little Big Town. I regret that I have not been interested in this music group before. What I like the most is that the artists presented songs on topics related to our everyday life, i.e. love, breakup, pain, etc. In my opinion, this album is full of reflection on human life. Although the vocalist and leader changed in each composition, the harmony between the band members can be heard perfectly.
I rate this album 5/5.
