"How They Remember You" - Rascal Flatts' goodbye to their fans (Review) [English Version]
Hey 😉
Rascal Flatts is a country band that was created by: Gary LeVox (lead singer), Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney in 1999. Their debut album "Rascal Flatts" (2000) obtained double platinum status. Also the next albums of the band "Melt" (2002), "Feels Like Today". (2004), "Me And My Gang" (2006), "Still Feels Good" (2007), "Unstoppable" (2009), "Nothing Like This" (2010), "Changed" (2012) have obtained gold or platinum status. In 2017 Rascal Flatts released the album "Back To Us".
Unfortunately, on 7th January 2020 the band members announced the end of their career as band after 21 years together. As a part of "goodbye" to their fans, the musicians released their last album "How They Remember You", which was released on July 31st, 2020.

The EP consists of 7 tracks:
1. How They Remember You - this is 1 single promoting the album. A great song "saying" that it's the acts/behaviour of a man that affects how other people will remember him. I like the fact that despite the fact that it's a nostalgic composition, the music arrangement is energetic (cool sound of electric guitars).
2. Feel It In The Morning - I like the intro of the song. A song with catchy words.
3. Quick, Fast, In A Hurry - it's a duet with country artist Rachel Wammack. I can honestly listen to this composition all the time. The words are catchy and Gary and Rachel's voices complement each other perfectly. You can write that this is a love song.
4. Looking Back - in my opinion it's the best song you can hear on this album because you can hear how great voice Gary LeVox has. Without a doubt it is a composition of unfulfilled love.
5. Warmer - another great song you can hear on the album. I like this change of pace of the song from calm to more energetic, and yet we still feel the emotions of the narrator, who feels lost.
6. Sip Away - unlike the previous songs, this is a typical holiday song about how to spend the summer. A nice change from nostalgic themes.
7. Through The Years - this is a cover of the song originally recorded by the famous country singer Kenny Rogers in 1981. The band performed their version to pay a tribute to the aforementioned musician, who unfortunately died in March 2020. In my opinion both versions are great.
When Rascal Flatts was announced to end their career I was surprised and a little bit saddened because it is one of my favourite country bands (I prefer to listen to solo artists). I am very happy that Rascal Flatts recorded a farewell album because listening to it I remembered why I liked them. The answer is simple: the wonderful voice of Gary LeVox, who is great for both nostalgic and partying songs. Another advantage of the band is the fact that they have great musical/instrumental skills of Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney (also vocals). Being a fan of a band or an artist you want him to keep releasing new songs and it's hard to accept his passing away (as in the case of Kenny Rogers 😢) or the parting of the band as it happened with Rascal Flatts.
I hope that the band will return one day with new music.
I rate this EP at 5/5.
