"Ride Me Back Home" - album by Willie Nelson (My Review) [English Version]
Hey 😉
Willie Nelson is recognized as one of the best artists and composers in Country music. The beginning of his musical career came in the 1950s and continues to this day.
21st June 2019 Willie released his 69th studio album "Ride Me Back Home"
21st June 2019 Willie released his 69th studio album "Ride Me Back Home"
The album consists of 11 tracks:
1. Ride Me Back Home - this is one single promoting this album. The composition reminds me of Country songs from the 80s or 90s. I like the calm tempo of the song and the musical instruments used here.

2. Come On Time - this is the 3rd single promoting this album. The tempo of the song is a little faster than in the previous song. It can be said that it is a bit nostalgic song that concerns passing time.
3. My Favorite Picture Of You - this is the 2nd single promoting the CD. This is a cover of a song performed by the composer and artist Guy Clark. This is a very beautiful composition with a calm musical arrangement. I think this is one of the better songs you can hear on this album.
4. Seven Year Itch - this is the 6th single promoting the album. I like the musical arrangement of this song (especially at the beginning), which I think is very interesting. Listening to this song, I have the impression that it resembles a composition from the Blues genre than Country.
5. Immigrant Eyes - this is the 5th single promoting this album. Another cover of a composition performed by Guy Clark. Personally, I really like this song, which in my opinion "presents" a sad story about a man who leaves his country and goes to America for a better life. Willie's voice shows emotions perfectly.
6. Stay Away From Lonely Places - this song first appeared on the artist's album "The Words Don't Fit The Picture" released in 1972. I like the intro (great piano sound) and the calm musical arrangement of this composition.
7. Just The Way You Are - another cover of the song performed by the famous singer Billy Joel from the album "The Stranger" (1977). I write with a heavy heart that I don't like this version of the song.
8.One More Song To Write - the words are catchy and I like the musical arrangement that can be heard here.
9. Nobody's Listening - personally I really like this song and I think it is another one of the best songs on this album. I like the calm musical arrangement and the lyrics of this song.
10. It's Hard To Be Humble - this is the 4th single promoting the album. Willie Nelson performs this song with his children. This is a cover of Mac Davis' composition. I don't know the original, but I like this version.

11. Maybe I Should've Been Listening - you can include this song about unsuccessful love. I like the calm musical arrangement of this song.
Willie Nelson, despite the passage of years, still shows that he is a talented artist. This is evidenced by the fact that he co-composed 6 songs from this album. Mixing song covers with original compositions means that this album attracts the attention of not only Country but also other music genres. Although personally I would prefer to listen to more new songs performed by the artist.
I rate this album 5/5
