"The Prequel" - EP by Luke Combs (My Review) [English Version]

Hey 😉

Luke Combs, although recently began his musical career as a country singer, has already been a huge success with his debut album "This One's For You Too" (I wrote about it here: https://joannacountrypolandeu.blogspot.com/2019/01/this-ones-for-you-too-album-by-luke_30.html)

In this post I will write about a new EP * by the artist "The Prequel", which was released on June 7, 2019.

 EP consists of 5 songs:

1. Beer Never Broke My Heart - this is 1 single promoting EP. It is a very energetic song with a nice musical arrangement.

 2. Refrigerator Door - personally I like this song that "tells" about passing time and events and only pictures remind about them. It can be said that it is a bit nostalgic song with a nice sound of musical instruments.

3. Even Though I'm Leaving - in my opinion it is the best composition you can hear on this EP. It is a very moving song, and vocalist's voice perfectly captures emotions.

4. Lovin 'On You - another energetic song about love. I like the musical arrangement used here (especially the guitar sound). The musical style of the song reminds me more of Rock than Country, but it's nice to listen to.

5. Moon Over Mexico - I like the intro of the song. I can listen to this composition over and over again.

* EP (extended play) - a collection of songs too short to be considered as full studio album.

Luke Combs proved again that he is a talented singer and musician. It is worth noting that the artist co-composed all the songs that are on EP. I hope that soon his new album will appear because I would love to listen to his other works. It is a pity that he only released 5 songs and no more😊. "The Prequel" contains songs that I think will appeal to everyone. I encourage you to listen to 😀

I rate this EP at 5/5.

JP.
