The Good "Old" Lady Antebellum is back with a new album "Ocean" /Deluxe Edition/ (My Review) [English Version] [POST UPDATE 22/11/2020]

Hey 😉

Good news for fans of the band Lady A (formerly Lady Antebellum), which on November 20, 2020 released the Deluxe version of the album "Ocean". The CD includes 6 additional songs*.

1. What If I Never Get Over You - this is 1 single from this album. I love this song and I could listen to it all the time. It's great to hear Charles, Dave and Hillary again, who complement each other vocally (as always). It is a sad song which tells a story about what people feel after breaking up.
2. Pictures - I like the musical arrangement, especially the intro. It's true that photos allow you to create memories, but even though we look happily at them, this is not always true.
 3. Crazy Love - this is a calm song and in my opinion very emotional which can be heard mainly in Charles's voice. It is worth adding that he co-composed this song.

4. You Can Do You - a bit more energetic composition than before. Reminds me of the song "Freestyle" from their album "747" (2014). It's nice to listen to it and electric guitars were used here which I love.

5. What I'm Leaving For - I really like this song that the artists dedicated to their families. It is worth paying attention to the music clip for this song. This is a very touching composition.

6. Be Patient With Love - another moving song on this album. There is great emotion in Charles Kelley's voice, which makes you want to listen to this song over and over again.

7. Alright - cool composition intro. A very energetic song with catchy words.

8. Let It Be Love - another calm song. Hillary Scott's voice sounds great. I like the musical arrangement.

9. On A Night Like This - I really like this song. In my opinion, it's a bit like "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" from the album "Lady Antebellum" (2008).

10. Boots - a nice song with energetic musical arrangement.

11. The Thing That Wrecks You (feat. Little Big Town) - I really like this song, which is performed with another very well known country band Little Big Town. The artists' voices go well together. I think this composition should be the next single.

12. Mansion - an interesting musical arrangement. The song is about that no matter how rich you are but that real love is the most important thing  in real life.

13. Ocean - this is the second single promoting the album. In my opinion this is the most touching song on this album. This song can be listened to all the time.

  14. Heroes* - A great song co-composed by country artist Thomas Rhett, who also sings this song with the band and Charles Kelley. It is a touching composition that refers to artists such as Kenny Rogers, Merle Haggard and John Denver. I can write that it is a tribute to the legends of country music who, unfortunately, have passed away.

15. Champagne Night* - this is a song that was created in the American program "Songland", where beginning musicians present a song they wrote. The prize is to release it as a single by a given artist who is a guest of the show, just like Lady A. I will honestly say that I really like the energetic musical arrangement and catchy words.

16. Underwater* - another great composition. Charles's voice and emotion make the piece simply touching. It's a pity the artists didn't put this song on the standard version of the album as it would definitely have been a huge success as a single.

17. Let It Be Love (At Home Edition)* - This is the version of the song that the band recorded separately in their homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

18. Champagne Night (Tiki Bar Version)* - another version of the song, where you can hear musical instruments related to Hawaii (?).

19. What If I Never Get Over You (Live At 3rd and Lindsley)* - this is both a live and acoustic version. You can hear Charles and Hillary's voices complement each other perfectly here.

Listening to the album "Ocean" I had the impression that I returned to the first album of this band "Lady Antebellum", which was released in 2008. The artists themselves said that this album is a return to their beginnings and I agree with them 100%. The songs on this album  are great to listen to. I like the fact that Charles and Hillary change as the main vocalists in the composition, which makes the album isn't  boring. Mostly calm compositions predominate, but I think that thanks to them you can hear how amazing Lady Antebellum is. I am very happy that the trio decided to release the Deluxe edition of the album because you can hear some great new songs. My favorite compositions are "Heroes" and "Underwater"*.
